Pengalaman Asasi Uitm Dengkil
This post is going to be in Malay. As I know the targeted audience will be among Malaysian students.... anddd probably they want to be quick? Anywayys, proceed!
Oh ye, saya budak asasi Sains batch 2017/2018 :D
Pengenalan
Pusat Asasi Uitm Dengkil ni pusat bagi semua pelajar asasi Uitm. Kebanyakan U lain campur je semua pelajar asasi, degree, master, and phD. Memandangkan tempat ni hanya untuk pelajar asasi, maka uni ni agak kecil berbanding dengan universiti lain. This is an advantage okay! Rumah dengan kelas kira2 5 minit je jarak perjalanan.
Ade 4 program asasi: Science, Engineering, Law, Tesl
Before start class and segala aktiviti kat dengkil ni, akan ada orientasi iaitu MDS. Fasilitator bagi guide pasal yang kita perlu sepanjang kat Uitm Dengkil ni, and ada registration course semua. Prepare semua dokumen dikehendaki before datang, untuk elok hura-hara di kemudian hari
Class
Disebakan aku amik asasi sains , so boleh cerita pasal bidang ni je.
Ade 6 subjek semua: Physic, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematic, ELC (english), CTU (pend.islam). But for elc and ctu, program asasi lain (engine,law,tesl) pon belajar and 2 subjek tu tak termasok pointer upu. Kalau pointer uitm pulak include those 2 subject sekali.
We have 3 class which is: Lectures, Tutorial, Lab
1. Lectures
Basically lecturer mengajarrrr dan guna slide. Tadah telinga, fokus dan buat nota( PENTING!!) Before lectures class, print lecture notes. Lecturer aku semua baik gileeeeee i miss them a lot semua macam ibu2 (i takde lecturer laki)
2. Tutorial
Tutorial is basically homework. Latihan/exercise. You can get tutorial Qs from the student portal. Tips from me ( because i am the sayangi-alam-sekitar and recycle-lover kinda people):
Guna buku2 latihan dari sekolah menengah. Yang baru bertulis 9-10 helai kat depan, koyakkan je (and dont forget TO RECYCLE ITT) and selebihnya jadikkan buku tuto. Buku besar atau buku kecik dua2 boleh.
One more, korang kalau ade kertas2 yang tak berconteng lagi (putih bersih), you guys boleh gabungkan dan stapler untuk jadi tempat conteng kira2 Maths/Physic.
Help me to save environment!
Sebelom datang kelas tutorial, pastikan tuto siap! Lagi2 kalau nasib dapat lect yang jenis cek tuto siap ke tak. Time ni lah bincang latihan tuto, tanya ramai2 atau personal pada lect untuk soalan or topik tak paham. JANGAN MALU-MALU. Dah besar ni 18 tahun dah, cuba atasi perangai penakot nak tanya (or in anything unnecessary)
3. Lab
3 subjek killer tu ade lab ( physic, chem, biology). Sebelom masok lab, kena buat jotter (mind map/ lukisan ringkas pasal eksperimen yang perlu dibuat waktu lab tu). Waktu buat eksperimen, kerjasama dengan labmates. After sesi lab, kena buat lab report dan depends pada lecturer bila nak hantar.
Food
Food yang jual kat sini semua centered kat satu tempat cafe named as Anjung. Cafe besar kk. Pastikan explore kedai2 makanan kat Anjung tu sebelom tamat asasi sebab setiap satu kedai ade keistimewaan dia sendiri. Acah2 "food hunting" lah sikit dalam dengkil tu (thats what i do lah xD )
Ade ayam/sosej gunting, sizzling, shawarma, bubur nasi sedap gile, nasi kukus ayam penyet, nasi kak wok, nasi tomato, burger panas2, aiskrim kon (basically this is a list of food I always eat LITERALLY EVERY DAY). Tolonglah make sure korang try makan food2 tadi okay. Dont know which kedai? Ask me.
BTW, diingatkan korang kene bawak tupperware kalau korang nak bungkus food. No plastic and polysterine are allowed to use ( kecuali ade special occasion).
Tips from me:
1. Bawak bekas yang nampak kecik so nanti nampak bayangan nasi sikit, so harga murah. Jangan kecik sangat, risau tak muat letak ayam or ikan keli. Believe me, this tip will be useful if you guys want to save money. Harga normal untuk lunch ( nasi plus ayam/ikan/telur plus sayur) selalunya RM 3.50 to RM 4.50. Kalau kene kedai2 yang mahal sikit tu RM5.00
2. Cara penyusunan lauk. This one my housemate ajar xD. Dalam bekas tu, susun sayur tu kemas2 at one corner and ayam/ikan/telur at another corner. Jangan nampak bersepah sebab taknak bayangan "banyak"
Ade lagi satu, ade cafe kat tingkat atas Anjung. Jual waffle, cheesy fries. And ade bakery. Wowww, food section macam terlebih panjang ..lolll. Next!
Shop/Mart
Shop dengan mart ni semua kat tingkat atas Anjung. Ade kedai komputer untuk print dengan fotostat berlambak. Tak silap ade 3 ( okay tak berlambak mana). Mart ade dua. Pandai2 banding harga barang antara dua mart tu kalau nak untung. Lain barang, lain mart yang harga murah.
Ade tempat pos barang/terima pos named Cellarium Centre (baru bukak). Ade kedai stationary. Ade butik for girls, jual seluar/blaus lawa2 and shawl yang kalau boleh semua range colour ade.
Shopping /Tempat Hang Out /Getaway Gitu
Aku sebagai kaki shopping tersangat amatlah bersyukur masuk dengkil (LOLLL). Sebab dekat dengan mall2 yang ade around Putrajaya. Contoh, aku selalu pergi IOI Putrajaya dengan Dpulze (ni ha dpulze dekat amat kalau setakat nak wayang tu datang sini je lah). Lain destinasi, Alamanda dengan Mid Valley (dua ni jauh sikit)
Naik ape? Aku naik Uber atau Grab je sebab malas nak naik public transport hehe. Tapi lebih jimat naik public transport patotnya ( haha dalam hal ni saye tak berjimat lulss). Selain mall, pegi park. Piknik dengan member pon best, then boleh cycling. As for me, Taman Botani! Selain tu pandai2 lah cari tempat hangout. Sebab Selangor ni bandar so macam2 ade ( and dekat dengan KL).
Spend on 'hangout/jalan2" ikot kemampuan. Takde duit, buat cara takde duit HAHA. Okaylah gurau, I mean kita students lagi tau. Duit yang kita guna tu duit parents sooooooooo be considerate. ( note for me also tskk tskk, saya sangatla boros orangnyeeee)
Barang elektronik
Satu rumah boleh ada satu seterika and satu heater. Jangan risau sape nak bawak itu ini sebab risau tak rapat dengan housemates lagi sebab after MDS biasa ada cuti seminggu, so nanti ada bawak terlebih/terkurang barang boleh uruslah. Setiap satu barang elektronik termasok charger dikenakan bayaran RM 10. So, kalau boleh tak perlu bawak banyak-banyak. Oh ye, periuk nasi takleh bawak.

Anyway, good luck in Dengkil. One of my best lifetimes was to be here. I learn a lot to be independent here compared to when I was in SBP before. I became braver and confident than ever through presentations, assignments, going out alone, managing important files, and moreeeee.
Speak up some topics that you want me to talk more about this pre-university matters. I was once as confused as you are and i would like to help.

BalasPadamSorry for the late reply. I would actually go for the cliche answer, which is if you study properly then BOOM you score. But for me though, it was actually easy. Thanks to the amazing lecturers and friends, i managed to get 4 flat upu in both semester!

BalasPadamUsually people will continue with biology related course for degree later. But as science is a very big scope, you could also pursue engineering. It is better for you to think carefully on what you will pursuing starting from now. All the best!
Padamso boleh tak lepas asasi sains kita pursue dlm medic?
PadamMost of the kids from asasi sains USUALLY target for medic hahahaahha. But medic is not for everyone. Most of my friends who get 4 flat still did not get to pursue medic because they flop their interview. So yes, you can pursue medic with asasi sains
PadamSubjek physic yg di belajar tu, masih sama ke dengan yang dekat sekolah menengah?
BalasPadamI would say yes. But still, there is a few of things that will be studied more detail compared to silibus in SPM. Basically everything you learn in foundation is pretty basic. But based on my personal experience, I score really well in foundation compared to SPM even though the learning materials is pretty same. I would say that during my foundation time, i was more mature and wiser to think about my future. Hahahahahah. Anyway, best of luck!

BalasPadamYup, boleh sambung business related course. And yes boleh apply UM, students biasa apply for asasi UITM ni sebab for degree they bebas nak sambung di mana-mana universiti
PadamNk Tanya matriks or asasi lebih sedikit senang ye?
BalasPadamHai. Okay for this matter, it is based on each person's preferences. There's a lot of difference between this two institution. Contoh in terms of time table, matriks have a very tight schedule. Jadual kelas macam jadual sekolah from 8 pagi sampai petang. Manakala untuk asasi timetable macam universiti, dalam satu hari ada 3 atau 4 kelas sahaja so u have a lot of free time.
PadamI take myself as example. I don't prefer my timetable macam sekolah dulu. Enough with zaman sekolah because the timetable is very tiring. I would prefer asasi with a lot flexibility in time. But, the free time provided need to be use wisely. You need to know when to study and when to have fun.
But personally the main reason I choose asasi sains because that is the place where most people who scores well in SPM goes, and I deserved to be there. So the competition between us will be fair and I can strive to be better.
As cliche as it sounds, none of both would be easy if you did not usaha. You need to know which institution that suits with the way your studying. Hope it helps.

1. The competition to apply for medic is really high. Almost all of them got 4.0 CGPA. What makes them stand out is from the interview. So need to the very best for interview :)
Padam2. Yes, sure you can. Getting into asasi sains utm meaning that you can apply to all ipta for degree.
